Custom Skid Systems
Project inquiry through Tubing Supply
Overview
Custom Skid Systems
Custom skid systems sit outside the standard Eco-Fuel and Hydrogen catalogs. Tubing Supply handles these as project-based inquiries where service media, pressure, flow, purge philosophy, instrumentation and documentation scope define the final concept.
Send us the basic project requirements and we will help align the concept against BMT Superlok skid capabilities before any formal RFQ is issued.
Project scope
What we walk through before formal RFQ
Skid scope is defined by media properties, pressure / flow envelope, purge philosophy, control architecture and documentation requirements. The list below covers the typical inputs Tubing Supply collects on the first pass.
- Service mediaProcess media, fuel media, purge media and any compatibility constraints (e.g. ammonia, hydrogen, methanol, methane, hydraulic fluid).
- Pressure and temperature envelopeDesign pressure class and design temperature window, including any class society or regulatory constraints.
- Flow and control philosophyFlow envelope, isolation, regulation, control cabinet and PLC / DCS interface requirements.
- Purge and safety functionsNitrogen purge, leak detection, emergency shut-down and any safety-instrumented function scope.
- Instrumentation and documentationPressure / temperature / flow instrumentation, certification, traceability and documentation requirements.
- Installation environmentMarine vs. stationary, ATEX / hazardous area, ambient envelope and footprint constraints.

Applications & selection guide
Where it sits in the system
- Alternative fuel handling skids beyond standard catalog scope
- Hydrogen-specific test, validation and supply skids
- Process gas regulation and distribution panels
- Hydraulic and instrumentation skids for marine and stationary use
Typical systems & markets
- Marine — newbuild and retrofit projects
- Stationary power and process plants
- Industrial — fuel handling and validation
- Mobility — hydrogen and alternative fuels
Selection reason
- BMT Superlok skid build capability supplied through Tubing Supply
- Project-based scope rather than fixed catalog SKU
- Technical review aligns concept against catalog options first
- Documentation and supplier dialogue routed through Tubing Supply

Process
How a project starts
Tubing Supply's role on a custom skid project is to clarify scope, align on documentation requirements and route the inquiry to the right BMT Superlok team — before formal RFQ exchanges begin.
Step 1
Send Tubing Supply the basic project requirements
Service media, pressure, flow, purge philosophy and documentation scope.
Step 2
Concept review and alignment
We help compare the project against existing catalog options before defining custom scope.
Step 3
Component and instrumentation selection
BMT Superlok components and instrumentation are selected per service envelope.
Step 4
Formal RFQ and supplier dialogue
Once scope is clarified, we move to formal RFQ and supplier dialogue.
