Verified installation, by sight and touch

Most tube fitting leaks trace back to incorrect installation. i-Fitting makes correct installation visible, audible, and tactile.

A built-in gap gauge on every fitting

  • Functions as a built-in gap gauge.
  • Separates at the correct compression point.
  • Reduces over- and under-tightening.
  • Separate gap-inspection gauge not required after completion.

Six components

A double-ferrule compression fitting with two colour-coded components for visual inspection: the identification band and the check ring.

Available across every configuration

Unions, connectors, elbows, tees, crosses, reducers, O-seal, weld and SAE/MS connectors.

Three steps to a verified connection

Installed with the same procedure as a conventional SUPERLOK fitting. The check ring signals completion.

Three-step i-Fitting installation sequence from the BMT catalog — prepare the fitting, finger-tighten the tube, then tighten until the check ring separates
  1. Prepare the fitting

Body, nut, front and back ferrules, and check ring.

  2. Insert and finger-tighten

Insert the tube to the shoulder. Rotate the nut finger-tight until the tube does not turn by hand.

  3. Tighten until separation

Hold the body steady. Tighten the nut until the check ring separates.
